Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Ringwood
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Ringwood. In this role, you will play an essential part in helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential. You will be working alongside teachers and staff to provide tailored support for students’ learning and development.

About the Role:
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant in Ringwood, you’ll be responsible for supporting students with diverse needs, both in individual and small group settings. Your focus will be on providing emotional, behavioural, and academic support to ensure each student can thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role offers a great chance to make a positive impact on students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting students with SEN, both individually and in small groups.
  • Helping students engage with learning activities and classroom tasks.
  • Working closely with the teaching staff to implement tailored strategies to support each student.
  • Encouraging student participation and helping to build confidence and social skills.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of personalised education plans.

Requirements for SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Experience supporting SEN students is highly desirable.
  • A patient, understanding, and compassionate approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

To work with GSL Education as an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you should:

  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Provide a current CV (from October 2015 to the present) with recent references (from October 2022 to the present).
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
