Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Fordingbridge
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Fordingbridge. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ individual growth and promoting an inclusive, engaging classroom experience.

About the Role:
This SEN Learning Support Assistant role in Fordingbridge involves working closely with students who require additional support, helping them navigate their unique learning paths. You’ll work one-on-one and in small groups, guiding students in academic and social development, and ensuring they feel valued and supported in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing tailored support to SEN students individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborating with teachers to adapt activities and lessons for each student’s needs.
  • Assisting in creating a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Encouraging students’ independence and confidence both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements for SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Prior experience working with SEN students is a plus.
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Provide an up-to-date CV (covering October 2015 to present) with recent references (from October 2022 onward).
  • Possess a DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
