Classroom Support Worker
Location: Wimborne
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Salary Scale: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Support Worker to join one of our client schools in Wimborne, assisting in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to the well-being of children, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed academically and personally.
As a Classroom Support Worker, you will work alongside teachers to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop key learning skills. You’ll also play an essential role in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a respectful and safe space for all students to thrive.
Responsibilities of a Classroom Support Worker:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Support students with individual or special educational needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour and uphold a safe learning environment
- Offer academic guidance and emotional support to students
- Work collaboratively with staff to implement lesson plans and school policies
Required Qualifications for a Classroom Support Worker:
- Previous experience in an educational setting or similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and support diverse groups of students
- A proactive, compassionate, and patient approach
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new check
