SEMH Teacher
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £100 - £230 per day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full time
Join our dedicated team as a SEMH Teacher in Chelmsford, where you will make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational mental health(SEMH). Your role as a SEMH Teacher will involve specialized teaching tailored to meet the individual needs of students across edusecondary schools. You will create engaging lessons that align with the curriculum for the students with special educational mental health needs and prepare them for success in their studies and future academic goals.
Responsibilities of a SEMH Teacher:
- Deliver specialized teaching to students with SEND needs.
- Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
- Support students in one-to-one or small group settings.
- Help students understand and engage with the syllabus according to key stages.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Work closely with SENCOs, staff, and guardians to upgrade the academic strategies.
Job Requirements for a SEMH Teacher:
- Holding QTS or equivalent degrees such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT is mandatory.
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in any field.
- Prior experience as a SEMH Teacher is essential.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
