SEN Teaching Assistant - Hounslow
GSL Education is looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a special school in Hounslow. This rewarding position offers a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. Previous experience in an SEN or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting is highly desirable.
Salary: £90 to £110 per day, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support for students with additional learning needs, including 1:1 assistance and small group work.
- Assist the classroom teacher in creating a supportive, structured learning environment.
- Encourage and reinforce positive behaviours to help students engage and succeed in their studies.
- Work closely with students who may have Autism, ADHD, or other behavioural and learning challenges, fostering their development both academically and emotionally.

Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN or SEMH environment.
- A strong understanding of how to support children with special needs in a positive, inclusive manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service is required).
