Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education is seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a special school in Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and make a real difference in their educational journey. Prior experience in an SEMH setting is preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH and moderate learning needs.
- Assist in managing and supporting students with behavioural challenges.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning strategies.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach to working with children.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours while maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
