Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a young student in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and help them achieve their full potential.

About the Role

As a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a specific student, ensuring they receive the individual attention they need to thrive. You will work closely with the class teacher to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of the student.

Key Responsibilities of 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • Provide one-on-one support: Assist a specific student with their learning and development, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported in all activities.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Work with the class teacher to develop and implement IEPs that cater to the unique needs of the student.
  • Support classroom activities: Help manage classroom behaviour and support the student during lessons and activities.
  • Encourage social interaction: Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging the student to interact and build social skills with their peers.
  • Monitor progress: Track and report on the student’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents.
  • Prepare learning materials: Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources to support the student’s learning activities.
  • Collaborate with staff: Work closely with the class teacher, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student.

Requirements of 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • Experience with EYFS students: Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Empathy and patience: A compassionate approach and the ability to remain patient in challenging situations.
  • Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
  • Relevant qualifications: Any relevant qualifications or training in early childhood education will be an advantage.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and student.

To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
