Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: November 2024
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
GSL Education are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at an Alternative Provision in York, North Yorkshire starting in November 2024. If you have a desire to support students' learning journey and contribute to their personal growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Level 2 Teaching Assistant requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate, Diploma or Qualification.
- Have at least 6 months experience in an educational setting which can be referenced.
- Be able to engage with young people and build effective relationships.
- Be confident in managing behaviour within a school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
Level 2 Teaching Assistant duties:
- Working under the direction and guidance of teachers supporting individuals, small groups, and whole class situations.
- Conduct General Teaching Assistant duties including administration tasks.
- Use strategies, in liaison with the relevant staff members, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Support with the planning of learning activities.
