Disability Support Worker
Location: Bovington
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary Scale: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities in a vibrant school in Bovington. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering an encouraging environment that promotes student independence, wellbeing, and academic growth.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist students in daily tasks, support their learning needs, and collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively.
Responsibilities of a Disability Support Worker:
- Support students with disabilities, encouraging their participation in all school activities
- Assist in implementing tailored educational and care plans
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure inclusive education
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all students
Required Qualifications for a Disability Support Worker:
- Previous experience in SEN or disability support roles preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse classroom settings
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection regulations
