SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Locks Heath
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are excited to invite dedicated individuals to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Locks Heath starting immediately.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other specialists in developing supportive learning strategies tailored to individual student needs. As a SEN TA, you will play a key role in enhancing students' learning experiences, providing one-to-one support, and guiding them through their daily challenges with patience and encouragement. Your work will have a profound impact on their personal and academic growth, ensuring they thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.
SEN TA Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement individualized learning plans.
- Support students with SEN in classroom activities, adapting materials to meet their needs.
- Offer one-on-one support to promote positive engagement and learning.
- Build trusting relationships with students to foster confidence and resilience.
- Apply behaviour management strategies designed to support each student effectively.
- Work with parents and professionals to provide a cohesive support system.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school atmosphere.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is beneficial.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a similar role as an SEN Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, and learning challenges etc.
- Excellent communication skills and a dedication to fostering positive outcomes.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for student success.

To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs TA, you need:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
