Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Winchester
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full Time/Part Time
Are you ready to make a difference in one student's life? GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a student in Winchester, providing essential support tailored to their unique learning needs.
About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work directly with a student, ensuring they receive focused support in their academic and personal development. Your role will involve understanding their individual needs, adapting lesson activities, and helping them stay engaged and motivated throughout their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored assistance to a student with specific learning or behavioral needs, adapting your approach to maximise their engagement and success.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement customised strategies and activities that support the student's learning goals.
- Regularly track the student’s progress, ensuring that learning objectives are met and adjusting support as necessary.
- Establish a positive, encouraging relationship with the student to boost their self-confidence and independence in the classroom.
- facilitate classroom tasks, adapting activities as needed to match the student’s abilities and comfort level.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a 1:1 or teaching assistant role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of student needs and a patient, adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, are advantageous but not essential.
To work with GSL Education, you will need:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
