SEN Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Exeter on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping children with additional needs and fostering their academic and personal development.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment.
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and help them build confidence in their abilities.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have experience working with children with special educational needs in the UK.
- Be patient, understanding, and adaptable.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Have a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
