Teacher of French
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are looking to hire qualified MFL Teacher to work as Teacher of French at a client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire starting in January 2025. The position can be adapted to accommodate an experienced teacher wishing to expand their expertise, or an ECT or strong graduate seeking their first teaching position.
As a Teacher of French, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver effective French lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French Language.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Be part of a supportive and established Department.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Prepare students for external examinations, including GCSE and A-level, through effective teaching and tailored revision sessions.
Teacher of French Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Is keen to work alongside an established, highly motivated team.
- Be able to deliver French to secondary level; having French as a second language is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent proficiency in the French language, including fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Experience working with children who have a variety of disabilities and/or learning difficulties, or an eagerness to go through training.
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
