GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in Waterlooville. In this Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role, you will support children with a range of special educational needs (SEN), helping them thrive both academically and personally.

About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting special educational needs (SEN) students, working closely with teachers and staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. You’ll assist students with tailored learning strategies, helping them engage and succeed in their school journey.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct support to special educational needs (SEN) students, helping them with both academic tasks and personal development.
  • Assisting in implementing behaviour and learning strategies as an LSA.
  • Working with teaching staff to foster a supportive and positive environment.
  • Engaging students in activities that support their social and academic growth.

Requirements for SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Prior experience in an special educational needs (SEN) role is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patience, empathy and adaptability to support individual learning needs.
  • A proactive approach to fostering a positive learning environment.
