GSL Education are searching for an enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in a school in Cosham. This Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role will give you the opportunity to support Special Educational Needs (SEN) students, guiding them toward both academic success and personal growth.

About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students, helping them with their learning and ensuring they feel included and valued. The role involves working closely with the teaching team to foster a safe and engaging environment for students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Offering individual and small-group support to Special Educational Needs (SEN) students.
  • Assisting teachers in creating a welcoming and structured learning environment.
  • Implementing learning and behaviour management strategies specific to each student’s needs.
  • Encouraging students’ personal and academic development as an LSA.

Requirements for SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience in an Special Educational Needs (SEN) role is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive approach.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Provide a current CV (from October 2015 to till now) with recent references (from October 2022 to till now).
  • Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
