Role Overview
As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into various classrooms, delivering engaging English lessons in the absence of regular teachers. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will create a positive learning atmosphere, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated.
Key Responsibilities of the Substitute Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum.

- Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and uphold educational standards.

Requirements for the Substitute Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus on English education.
- Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or in a similar role would be a plus.
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level, showcasing a solid understanding of the English curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and colleagues alike.
- Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom settings and student needs.
- A strong commitment to promoting an inclusive educational experience.
To be considered for the role of Substitute Teacher, you will need:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- A DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
