Salary: £110 - £130 per day

Role Overview
As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into various classrooms, delivering engaging English lessons in the absence of regular teachers. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will create a positive learning atmosphere, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated.

Key Responsibilities of the Substitute Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum.
  • Engage students in meaningful learning experiences that promote critical thinking and creativity.
  • Maintain a supportive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and uphold educational standards.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.

Requirements for the Substitute Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus on English education.
  • Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or in a similar role would be a plus.
  • Proven experience teaching at the secondary level, showcasing a solid understanding of the English curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and colleagues alike.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom settings and student needs.
  • A strong commitment to promoting an inclusive educational experience.

To be considered for the role of Substitute Teacher, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • A DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must complete all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
