Salary: £110 - £130 per day

About the Role
As a Supply Teacher, you will step into classrooms, providing high-quality teaching and support to students across various year groups. You will adapt quickly to different learning environments and ensure that each student receives the guidance they need to thrive academically.

Key Responsibilities of the Secondary Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons that align with the school's curriculum, using creative teaching methods to stimulate student interest and understanding.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to participate, fostering both confidence and a sense of belonging.
  • Assess and track each student’s progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help them reach their academic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow staff members to maintain consistency in lesson delivery and uphold the school’s educational standards and objectives.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour by setting clear expectations and using positive reinforcement techniques to create a respectful, focused learning space.

Requirements for the Secondary Supply Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in English.
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level as a Supply Teacher, demonstrating a strong understanding of the English curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students.

To work with GSL Education as a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • A DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
