Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Hook
Rate: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time/Part time

GSL Education are looking for dedicated SEN Learning Support to join a warm and welcoming school in Hook. This is a unique opportunity to provide crucial support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them unlock their potential and thrive in their learning environment.

As an SEN Learning Support, you will work hand-in-hand with teachers and support staff, ensuring students receive the individual attention and assistance they need. Your role will play a key part in fostering a positive, inclusive environment that allows every student to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
  • Build a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and staff.
  • Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment tailored to student needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an SEN Learning Support or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet individual student needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
