Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Salary Scale: £95-£120 per day (Depending on experience)


GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and committed Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Doncaster. The role requires assisting teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences to students, supporting individual and group learning, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support class teachers in daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning and the preparation of learning materials.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Qualifications for a Teaching Assistant:

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and contributing to their academic and personal growth.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
