Cover Supervisor:

  • Location: South Manchester
  • Salary: £18000- £27000 per annum
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

GSL Education are supporting secondary schools across South Manchester with classroom cover supervisors, and due to the demand, we are recruiting new staff to work with some of our partner schools in South Manchester.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality education to our students in KS3/KS4. We are considering applications from both experienced and early-career teachers. The role of a cover supervisor is a gratifying challenge that is perfect for someone who enjoys helping young people learn and providing support to overcome any barriers to learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in education and gaining valuable experience in a secondary school setting.

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be confident in front of a classroom, managing the behaviour and ensuring learners understand the lesson objectives
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and learning
  • Able to create a positive learning environment has good and strong classroom management
  • Help learners to meet the lesson objectives
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to work on short notice and get to school quickly
  • Able to think on your feet and use initiative
