Learning Support Assistant

Location: Lincoln

Start Date: ASAP

Salary Scale: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Lincoln are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join one of our client schools in Lincoln. This role involves supporting students in various educational settings to help them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure a nurturing and supportive environment, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each student.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Support teachers in delivering lesson plans and manage classroom activities.
  • Provide tailored assistance to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Monitor students' progress, offering feedback and encouragement.
  • Help in the development of educational resources and classroom materials.

Qualifications for a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a support role in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • An empathetic and patient approach to working with young people.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the needs of students.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
