SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Start Date: ASAP
Salary Scale: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education Lincoln are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Lincoln. Your role will involve assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning plans, managing classroom behaviour, and fostering positive student engagement. This position is perfect for a compassionate individual with a strong understanding of student diversity and a commitment to encouraging academic and personal growth.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students requiring additional support, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting students with special educational needs in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised educational plans.
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to track and report on student progress.
Required Qualifications for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, ideally within SEN.
- Strong communication skills, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to adapt learning resources to cater for diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
