SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Boston, Lincoln
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
Salary Scale: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education Lincoln are seeking a compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a fantastic client school in Boston. This role demands patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Working under the guidance of skilled educators, you will help deliver individualised support to students, ensuring that each child receives the attention and encouragement needed to flourish academically and personally.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver targeted support for students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a pivotal role in guiding students through personalised learning programmes, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Assist in implementing tailored learning plans for SEN students.
- Provide one-on-one and group support, adapting methods to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Engage with external specialists when necessary to support student well-being.
Required Qualifications for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Proven experience in supporting SEN students in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to adapt learning resources to cater for diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
