Are you passionate about supporting students with complex needs? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in Redbridge to work with students in a specialised setting. Role Overview:
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students who require additional assistance due to complex physical, emotional, or behavioural needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their learning experience and fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with complex needs, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum.
- Develop and implement individualised support strategies in collaboration with teachers and educational staff.
- Assist students in managing their emotions, behaviours, and physical challenges, promoting independence and confidence.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging students to participate in classroom activities and develop essential life skills.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching approaches to meet the changing needs of each child.

Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, ideally in an educational or care setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections with students and staff.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to helping students manage their needs.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with all applicants required to pass enhanced DBS checks, including being registered on the update service.
