Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic school in Southampton. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting children in their academic and personal development.
About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special needs to overcome their challenges and achieve their educational goals. You will work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning strategies, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to flourish.
Responsibilities Include:
- Offering 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN.
- Supporting students in managing their behaviour and emotions.
- Assisting with the implementation of learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to supporting both learning and behaviour.

To work with GSL Education as an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.

- Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
