Teacher of English
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025
Salary: £31650 – £49,084 per annum; this position is suitable for ECTs
Contract: Supply, Temporary, Part-Time or Full-Time

As such, we are currently recruiting for a Teacher of English to join our York-based team from November 2024 or January 2025. You will undertake a long-term placement on a part-time or full-time basis, and in some situations, where appropriate, direct contracts are available.
As the successful Teacher of English, you will:
- Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed or BA with QTS, and have recent experience of working as a Teacher of English in the UK.
- Be able to teach KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature. A-Level teaching experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with all individuals, including pupils, colleagues and parents and carers.
- Provide intervention and tutoring sessions where appropriate, mainly for borderline GCSE students.
