Salary: Paid to scale, depending on experience

The special school has their own NHS and privately commissioned SEND specialist colleagues, who specialise in therapeutic interventions and health and wellbeing and provide exceptional support. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Craft and implement lesson plans that accommodate the varying abilities and learning styles of SEN students.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, employing effective behaviour management techniques to support student engagement and learning.
- Work closely with parents, colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement effective support plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and SEN strategies, engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your teaching efficacy.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have a specialised teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS).
- Have proven experience as an SEN Teacher within an SEN-based educational setting. Additionally, experience in Behaviour Management is required.
- Have an understanding and compassionate approach to helping the students in an inclusive learning environment.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of special educational needs and effective teaching methodologies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
