Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £12.82- £14.72 per hour
Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Monitoring and recording students’ progress and providing feedback.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is desirable.
