SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cosham
Rate: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Cosham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students and help them thrive academically and socially.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be key in providing personalised support to students with SEN. Your role will involve working closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Offer targeted assistance to help students with special educational needs thrive academically.
- Assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons: Work alongside teachers to ensure lessons are dynamic and tailored to the needs of all students.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere: Foster a welcoming environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback: Monitor individual student development and offer helpful feedback to encourage growth.
- Support students during break times and extracurricular activities: Ensure students feel included and supported in all aspects of school life.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment: Contribute to a secure and motivating space that encourages learning and exploration.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Enthusiasm for working with children with special educational needs.
