Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking for a flexible teaching opportunity? If so, GSL Education Newcastle Branch has an exciting role for a Science Teacher to join a welcoming school in Gateshead.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that foster students' understanding of scientific concepts and inquiry skills across various disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics. You will assess student progress, encourage critical thinking, and create a stimulating learning environment that inspires curiosity and a passion for science.
Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students of various ages and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support students’ learning and development.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
Requirements of the Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Commitment to promoting safeguarding and the welfare of children.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
