Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are currently partnering with schools in Winchester to find a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker. This role provides a unique opportunity to support students facing behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively in their learning environment and achieve their potential.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a positive atmosphere for students. Your role will involve implementing strategies and interventions tailored to meet individual behavioural needs, ensuring that all students feel supported and understood in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities for Behaviour Support Worker:
- Provide targeted support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, fostering a safe and positive learning environment.
- Implement individualised behaviour plans and interventions to address specific needs.
- Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive interactions among students.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of effective support strategies.
- Use proactive behaviour management techniques to de-escalate situations and ensure the well-being of all students.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behaviour support.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- Experience working with students with behavioural difficulties or as a Behaviour Support Worker in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when dealing with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting the overall school environment.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for helping students overcome behavioural challenges and succeed academically.

- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
