Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and small group assistance to students during lessons, ensuring they stay engaged and on track.
- Help teachers implement lesson plans and classroom activities, making sure students understand and can participate fully.
- Contribute to a welcoming, supportive, and interactive learning space where students feel encouraged to succeed.
- Monitor how students are doing and regularly share feedback with teachers, helping to adjust support where needed.
- Provide guidance and assistance to students during school activities, break times, and transitions between classes or events.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and patient demeanor.
- Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and success of all students.
To work with GSL Education as a Classroom Support Worker, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Submit an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps).
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Please note that this role requires a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS.
