Job Title: Teaching Assistants

Location: Bournemouth

Rate: £12.82 per hour

Contract type: Full-time or Part-time (based on candidate availability)

Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a dynamic school in Bournemouth. This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time opportunities based on the candidate's availability.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable classroom support, work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised attention to students, ensuring their specific learning needs are addressed and helping them stay engaged with the lesson material.
  • Work alongside teachers to prepare and deliver lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning styles, ensuring all students remain actively involved.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Regularly track student progress, noting areas of improvement or concern, and provide teachers with constructive feedback to help tailor future lessons.
  • Help supervise students during activities outside the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being during break times and extracurricular activities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant (preferred but not essential).
  • Be passionate about supporting children's education and development.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Hold or be able to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
