ECT Teacher Maths
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £125 to £155 per day, depending on experience

Contract: Daily supply, Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are presently working with an exceptional school located in Newcastle, that isrecruiting a dynamic and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Maths to join their brilliant team. This role comes with a rewarding experience to make a significant impact on students' understanding and appreciation of Mathematics.

The Role:

As an ECT Teacher of Maths, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality maths education to students. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' academic journeys. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective maths lessons, supporting students in developing their mathematical skills and understanding.

Essential qualities of a Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate improvement.
  • Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
  • Possess a teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS).
  • Have previous experience teaching Mathematics in a school setting.
  • Have a passion for continuous professional development.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the British curriculum and educational standards.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
