GSL Education Bournemouth Brach are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Poole. If you are motivated, patient, and eager to contribute as a Teaching Assistant (Full-time and part time), we would love to hear from you!
About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to both teachers and students, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, you will play a key part in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Help teachers prepare lessons and set up fun classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who need a little extra help.
- Work with students with special needs to ensure everyone feels included.
- Keep track of how students are doing and share that with teachers.
- Encourage good behaviour and help create a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
- Supervise students during lunch and breaks to keep them safe and happy.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
- Any relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
