Teacher of English
Location: Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire
Start Date: November 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are seeking an qualified English teacher to work on a full-time basis at a Client Secondary Schools in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, starting in November 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver English lesson that meets the individual needs of students.
- Help students with their progress by taking a role in departmental support.
- Establish appropriate guidelines in the classroom and make sure they are followed consistently.
- Build strong rapport with students by creating an inclusive environment.
- Perform the professional responsibilities of a school teacher as outlined in the existing school policies, under the Senior Management Team's instruction.
- Continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods.
Key Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas equivalent.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have knowledge and understanding of the implications of SEND Code of Practice for teaching and learning.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
