GSL Education Newcastle are looking for a dedicated ECT (Early Career Teacher) to join a fantastic Secondary school in New Sheilds! This is a great chance to gain valuable classroom experience while inspiring students in a variety of subjects.

As an ECT (Early Career Teacher), you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students continue to make progress during staff absences. This flexible role lets you work in various classrooms, helping you grow your skills and confidence as you start your teaching career.

Responsibilities of the ECT:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Support student learning and development in alignment with school policies.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Provide detailed feedback on lesson delivery and student progress.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth and cohesive teaching experience.

Requirements of the ECT:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and classrooms.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
