Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £95 to £120 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/ Full-time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are working with an esteemed school located in Sheffield that is seeking a committed and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role provides a unique opportunity to support students across a variety of subjects and year groups.

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to teachers and students, contributing to a dynamic and effective learning environment. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, supporting individual students and helping to deliver engaging educational experiences.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that all students are engaged and supported.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources, contributing to a well-organised and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support teachers with administrative tasks, such as marking and record-keeping.
  • Maintain regular communication with teachers and school staff to ensure continuity of learning and adherence to school policies.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a recent graduate with a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Have previous experience working with children or in an educational setting.
  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
