GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join secondary schools across Sheffield.
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that help students grasp complex mathematical concepts and develop problem-solving skills. You will support students’ academic progress, prepare them for exams, and manage classroom behaviour effectively. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a lasting impact on students’ mathematical understanding.
Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Help students build strong numeracy skills and confidence in problem-solving.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies and create a productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s academic goals.
Requirements of a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities.
- Passion for mathematics and supporting students' academic development.
- Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
