Salary Range: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking a dynamic and motivated Science Teacher to join secondary schools across Sheffield.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons, ensuring students grasp key concepts and develop a love for the subject. You will help maintain a positive learning environment, support students' academic progress, and manage classroom behaviour effectively. This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in students’ learning journeys and further develop their teaching skills.

Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Engage and inspire students to develop a passion for science.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies and create a positive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements of a Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching science at secondary level.
  • Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities.
  • Confidence in engaging students with diverse learning needs.
  • Passion for education and supporting students' academic growth.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
