Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Locks Heath
Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education Southampton Branch are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant at a nurturing school in the charming area of Locks Heath!
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing personalised assistance to help them thrive in their learning environment.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special needs.
- Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom.
- Monitor student progress and share updates with teachers and parents.
- Build strong relationships with students to support their growth.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
