We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join a supportive team in Oldham, OL2, to start after the October half term.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate best suited for this role will be someone with  a genuine passion for supporting students in their educational journey. A passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs

Your role

Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational support to students

- Provide one-to-one mentoring and tutoring to students, including those with autism

- Support the educational and social development of students

- Communicate effectively with both students and teaching staff

- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

 - Experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs

 - Strong communication skills

- Empathy and patience when working with students

 - Relevant qualifications in education or child development

Please de advised that this role as a teaching assistant requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applications must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, invluding providing an anhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing an application for a new check
