Position: Learning Support Assistant
Hourly Rate: £12.82 per hour
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: October 2024
GSL Education are looking for passionate Learning Support Assistants based in Bournemouth or the surrounding areas to support the class teacher and pupils in local mainstream primary schools.
THE LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT ROLE:
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher to facilitate effective lesson delivery.
- Providing individualised support to students with varying learning and emotional needs, including following individual education and behaviour plans to ensure consistent and effective support.
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
THE IDEAL LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT:
- Must be a patient, reliable and proactive
- Be able to work well in a team
- Be able to adapt to the needs of the individual pupils
- Have experience working either 1:1 with children, or in small groups
- Plan and lead small group interventions to support pupils who are working below age related expectations.
DETAILS:
- Position - Learning Support Assistant
- Type of work – Small group and 1:1 sessions
- Full time: Monday – Friday
- Pay: £12.82 per hour
- Hours - 8:30– 15:30
