Job Title: Mental Health Teaching Assistant
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / part-time
Start: Immediately

About the role:
As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who need extra help with their emotional and mental health to support their education. You will have the chance to make a real difference in a school that cares about the well-being of both its students and staff.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for students with mental health needs.
  • Help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Work with teachers to develop strategies for managing students' behaviour and emotional needs.
  • Assist students in engaging with their learning and improving their social skills.
  • Keep track of students' progress and share updates with teachers.
  • Promote positive mental health practices within the school.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Experience working with young people in a supportive role, preferably in education or mental health setting.
  • A caring and patient attitude, along with strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of mental health issues and their impact on learning.
  • A commitment to promoting well-being and positive behaviour.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
