A great opportunity is available in Bournemouth, as GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are looking for a caring and dedicated person to join a local school as a Disability Support Worker.
About the role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personal care and support to students with disabilities. This role gives you the chance to help improve their well-being and independence.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Work closely with students with disabilities, helping them with daily school tasks.
- Follow care and lesson plans, making sure students are safe and well.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful space that promotes independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to offer well-rounded support.
- Maintain clear and detailed records of students' progress and activities.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Experience as a Disability Support Worker or similar role is a plus.
- Understanding of different disabilities and how to support them well.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Compassion and patience in helping students with different needs.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students with disabilities.
