Job Title: 1:1 Child Support in Primary School
Location: Bournemouth
Hourly Rate: £12.82 per hour
Start date: After October Half Term 2024
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00pm
 

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

GSL Education are currently working closely with local mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth to support their recruitment of Teaching Assistants who can provide additional support for pupils with additional needs in the class. We are looking for nurturing, adaptable and highly motivated individuals who have a passion for tailoring strategies and provision based on the needs of the child. For this role, the ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement effective methods of reengagement and behaviour management. Prior experience working in a school or in a setting supporting children/ young people, would be desirable.


This Role Includes:
- Supporting the teaching and learning of pupils with SEN or SEMH needs
- Working closely with pupils that display challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties
- Working collaboratively with other members of staff to ensure that the needs of the pupils are effectively and consistently met.  
- Full time is preferred, but part time applicants may still apply

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
