PSHCE Teacher (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education)

Location: Portsmouth 

Salary : £30,00 - £46,525


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated and talented teacher. The school is currently made up of SEN students and is set to grow over the next three years. The school follows the National Curriculum and support students to gain outcomes equivalent to mainstream. The SEN School offer's excellent training and career progression opportunities.

They offer an extensive curriculum to our students and currently require an enthusiastic and committed teacher.

You will have a flexible, creative and practical approach to learning and be responsible for developing individualised / small group programs. Class sizes are no more than 7-12 students, with dedicated TA support and you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Successful candidates will be a part of a supportive team who work across Education, Care and Therapeutic services supporting each other's practice to develop specialist services to those with additional and complex care needs including: Autism and associated difficulties. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work alongside well trained, qualified professionals across our multidisciplinary team.

Teaching Requirements:

  • Experienced teaching up to GCSE level (English or Maths preferable but not essential)
  • Qualifed Teacher status or eqivalent
  • Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to thrive in our busy school environment
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to our pupils' diverse needs
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current research in education
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for building strong relationships with staff and pupils

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
