Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / part-time

About the role:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping students with mental health challenges as they go through their school life. You will work closely with teachers and families to create a caring environment that supports each student’s emotional and mental well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference for young people in Bournemouth, while also building valuable experience in mental health support for teenagers.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Give focused support to students with mental health, anxiety, and behaviour needs, making sure their care plans are followed.
  • Work with teachers to create lessons that include all students and tackle challenges related to mental health, anxiety, and behaviour, even in outdoor activities.
  • Help create a caring and supportive learning space that boosts emotional and mental well-being, especially by addressing anxiety and behaviour issues.
  • Create a safe and supportive space where you can help people learn ways to cope with their challenges.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • A good understanding of the diverse needs linked to mental health, anxiety, and behaviour.
  • The ability to adjust teaching methods to fit each student's unique needs, especially those with mental health challenges.
  • A patient and understanding attitude when dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • A positive and open approach to working with a team of different professionals.
