Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Southampton. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting children's education and making a positive impact on their academic and personal development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students, addressing their specific learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that encourage participation from all students.
- Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the classroom, promoting inclusivity and respect.
- Monitor student progress and provide valuable feedback to teachers, contributing to the improvement of learning outcomes.
- Support students during school activities and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential).
- Be passionate about working with children and supporting their learning journey.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Hold or be able to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
