Teaching Assistant

Location: Swanwick

Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Swanwick. This opportunity is perfect for those who are eager to contribute to the educational and personal development of young learners.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll provide essential support to both students and teachers, helping to foster a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their specific learning needs.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities, contributing to a dynamic learning environment.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to inform their instructional strategies.
  • Support students during break times and extracurricular activities, ensuring their well-being and safety

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferred but not essential).
  • Be enthusiastic about working with children and aiding their development.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills, effectively collaborating with teachers and staff.
  • Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
